Cork fabric is a new type of environmentally friendly decorative material made from the bark of natural cork oak trees. It is also often called cork skin or cork paper. Essentially, it is a processed cork composite material.

Source of core material
The core raw material of cork cloth is the bark of the cork oak tree (also known as the cork oak tree), which is one of the oldest tree species in the world and a special green and renewable resource.
1. Special harvesting rules: Trees can only be harvested for the first time when they are over 20 years old and have a diameter at breast height greater than 20 centimeters. After that, they can be harvested again every 10 to 20 years. Harvesting the bark will not cause the tree to die; instead, the tree will grow new bark, making it a truly sustainable source of material.
2. Inherent structural characteristics: Cork is composed of a large number of air-filled honeycomb-like cork lipid cells, which endows cork with inherent elasticity, moisture-proof and soundproof properties.
Core material characteristics
Cork cloth retains the natural excellent properties of cork:
• Environmental attributes: 100% degradable, renewable and recyclable. The plantations where cork oak trees are grown can also serve as carbon sinks. After being picked, the cork only needs sun exposure and water for preliminary processing, which is environmentally friendly.
• Functional features: It naturally possesses the characteristics of being environmentally friendly, moisture-proof, water-resistant, wear-resistant, pressure-resistant, non-corrosive, non-insect-proof, stain-proof, dust-proof, flame-retardant and self-extinguishing. Meanwhile, it can be bent freely and undergoes secondary processing such as dyeing and pattern pressing.
